Minecraft Easter Eggs - References

Minecraft has not changed much in the last few weeks, and it doesn't really matter anyway. Minecraft will never fail to entertain everyone, it doesn't matter if the person is a beginner or a professional. I have played a lot of Minecraft myself and I felt that the best part of the game was the Easter Eggs.

1] WOLOLO!

To anybody who's ever played Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, a potentially noticeable reference has made its way into Minecraft. The Evoker, is a very specific reference to Priests from the game mentioned previously.

In Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, Priest units would yell "WOLOLO!" While converting enemies to their side, changing their color and team preference. Evokers have followed suit, screaming the exact sound from Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings any time a blue sheep is near, turning the sheep red.

2] missingno

People who played the first generation Pokemon games may remember the infamous 'missingno' glitch, where an undetected bug sometimes cause the game to spawn a pokemon that didn't exist or cause the game to completely zero out.

A similar glitch happens when you access the source folder for Minecraft, and delete a file known as 'splashes.txt', which is responsible for the splash text that is visible on the home screen.
What happens then, is quite surprising. The splash text changes to 'missingno'.
This is a reference to the missingno glitch as shown above. This post of Minecraft Easter Eggs was fun to make as I play Minecraft and the Easter Eggs themselves were unique. Tell us your favourite in the comments down below!

Happy Hunting!
