Google Easter Eggs - Bletchley Park
Everyone here has either read or at least heard about 'World War II'. Immense blood shed, ruthless warfare, countless dead bodies and inhuman weapons. I'll stop before I get too graphic but, you get the idea, right? Almost every one has a rough idea of what took place during those years but how many of you truly know about the brains behind the scenes?
The History behind Bletchley Park
1939 to 1945, six years! that was how long the Second World War lasted. A fight between the Alliance forces and The Nazis. Although not much in the fight but, the Bletchley Park mansion in the United Kingdom indirectly played an extremely important role in the war in the major communication between the armies. This mansion became the principle center for allied code-breaking, harboring over 150 coders encrypting and decrypting messages across the Atlantic ocean . For more info refer to this Wikipedia Article dedicated to it.
What is the Easter Egg ?
In tribute to this Undercover system Google has designated an Easter Egg specifically for The Bletchley Park Mansion. Search for 'Bletchley park' and above the info box you can see a genuine Enigma code which appears to be a random array of numbers. This code self-decrypts itself to reveal the name 'Bletchley park' merely symbolises the work of a World War II Enigma Coder.
